The Safety4U Scholarships program was launched in November 2010 and following a rigorous selection process two spirited and driven candidates Ms. Aishling Roche of the Gateway Project and Mr. Michael Harper of Sunflower Recycling won their places and commenced their personal training plan January 2011.
Both candidates have since successfully obtained their qualifications as both FETAC Manual Handling Instructor and FETAC Safe Patient Handling and Moving Instructor. The Safety4U Scholarship program was first conceived by Noel Dunne of Safety4U, Bernie Walsh of Sunflower Recycling and Carmel Brien of the Gateway Project.
The aim of the first Scholarship is simple to empower people from within the community whom have the desire to succeed train to become self employed as opposed to train to take up diminishing employment opportunities, we simply wanted to provide an alternative opportunity.
This Scholarship is 100% funded by Safety4U and includes ongoing mentoring, work experience and assistance building business plans and registering of a new business.
The Safety4U Safe Kids program is all about early intervention by promoting basic health and safety awareness in our schools, crèches and early learning organisations we believe we can improve our future generations competence and therefore ability to make sound decisions when faced with hazards in the workplace. Safety4U is committed to promoting a positive health, safety and welfare culture in our workplaces.
The Safety4U Safe Kids program is delivered in quick 30-60 minute fun art sessions facilitated by our life size mascot CHASE "Children Health and Safety Educator" we aim to get across basic common sense skills in a fun and memorable way.

The Safety4U Play it Forward program is again about early intervention but this time we want to support children with learning challenges by providing them with toys to help develop balance, motor co-ordination, social and sensory skills, problem solving and colour, shape and letter recognition etc.
It is widely documented & generally accepted that play time is a very important part of a child's personal development, some toys are better than others in terms of helping individual children learn core skills however these toys are not always affordable & or accessible to the children whom need them most, Safety4U offer free toys to organisations looking after children with learning challenges.
All our toys are sourced through Big Elf Toys a wonderful Irish company established in 2010 as a supported employment initiative which currently has a number of staff with learning and social difficulties working behind the scenes.

Hello my name is Chase which stands for Children’s Health & Safety Educator.
My mission is to educate children all over the world on a myriad of topics each aimed at delivering valuable life shaping learning so that children are empowered with relevant information to help them make the right choices when faced with new experiences and the many inherent and associated risks.
I have chosen to do this through the world wide web and what better way than to use illustration, animation and art to help compound the learning. My friends in eTraining.ie have helped me develop a series of fun courses and come up with a very easy way to help all the Chase safety team members run their courses and hold their certificates of completion, they call this the Chase LMS “Learning Management System”.
